PPN needs funds to carry out its various projects, training volunteers and facilitating agencies at different levels.
Tax benefits for corporate and other donors - PPN is a registered NGO whose receivable donations are eligible for tax benefit under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Under this provision, the person or the organization making a donation to PPN will get a deduction of 50 percent from his/her or the organization’s taxable income. PPN has fulfilled all the conditions to be eligible to receive funds under the 80G provision.
Also, donation in excess of ₹10,000/- under Section 80G should be made through account payee bank transfers.
